A serial software upgrade can be performed on all Quali-TV receivers. For this you need a null-modem cable and a special Quali-TV program running on your PC.

PC upgrade tool
The serial upgrade tool for the PC is a Windows program and can be downloaded here. It's a single executable, you can unzip it to a folder of your choice, no further installation is needed.
